A new site that might be helpful, it certainly is interesting, is MS Wishlist.
Agents and editors describe manuscripts they wish they'd find in their inbox.

We
are looking for fabulists flash fiction and short stories. We like
stories that favor the unusual over the usual; we like stories that
create a milieu where anything can happen. Stories can take the form of
myth or fable. They can invent or suggest an unreal ambiance or describe
a realistic landscape gripped by a surreal or unexplained event.

Writing Excuses, a podcast with Brandon Sanderson, Mary Robinette Kowal, Dan Wells, Howard Taylor, have changed their format this year with their 10th season. They are doing a master class-- teaching writing, giving assignments.
I have always found their podcast informative and enjoyable They are only two months into this master class so there is still time to give it a go from the beginning if you would like to do so. I'll add the link to the bottom of this post, it will take you to Season 10 which gives you the 'liner' notes, you can also link to the podcast transcript or download the podcast itself. (I recommend listening if at all possible, much more enjoyable.)
BTW - even if you don't do the homework it is worth the listen

Submission Grinder
I wanted to add this to the Writing Tools portion, but couldn't figure out how, so I'll just post it here.
Back when I was submitting loads of stories I used this a lot to keep track of them all and where they were and how long they'd been waiting there, also its great for finding markets...and, unlike duotrope, it's free! Check it out:

FFWG Members - it is time to do a review of what is available and
how things work on our website.
The website was created so all members of Feast or Famine
Writer’s Group could blog. It is open to
the public to read and comment. We currently have one follower, the SockMonkeys,
a Facebook group of over 100+ fellow writers.
All blogs, and comments on those blogs, are sent to all
members of FFWG by email. You don’t have to visit the website to see the latest
post.
If you visit the website you will find: Writing Tools with links
to helpful sites on the craft of writing, Cool Sites with links to information about
writing and the business of writing, Markets with links to places that buy sci
fi/fantasy/horror writing, Members is a list of current members, Blogs of
Interest has links to useful blogs including member blogs.
Published members have a page listing their works. Currently
it is only one page but if Jonas keeps up his pace he will soon need his own
page. Way to go, Jonas!
